Help us to Fuel Her Fire in 2024!
As 2023 comes to close, our annual auction event, Fuel Her Fire, gives us a chance to consider the achievements of the past year, the opportunities available, and the challenges currently facing Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell. Since last year's auction, Girls Inc. has welcomed new staff, girls, and families. This includes the launch of the Thinking SMART program for middle school girls, an in-school program for at-risk students at Lowell High, as well as the addition of new talent in the program staff team.
This year has also brought unprecedented challenges, most notably with the discovery of mold and asbestos in our historic Girls Inc. building, necessitating a complete process of remediation and renovation. Upon hearing of the situation, many organizations and institutions of this great community have provided invaluable support so that we could continue our programs. We are particularly grateful to the Boys and Girls Club for providing space for our girls, Middlesex Community College for providing office space and Lowell Public Schools for working with us to host programming and healthy after school activities for the girls.
As we respond and adapt to these challenges, we are also looking ahead to the long-term vision for the future of Girls Inc. Your contributions to this year's Fuel Her Fire will help us complete a new and improved center to better serve both girls and staff, expand our program offerings to impact more youth, and eliminate financial barriers so that all families can access strong, smart and bold programs for their daughters. With your support, Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell will be able to not only restore our operational capacity going into 2024, but to also build on that as we bring forward an exciting vision of growth for our future.

We impact Lowell's future female leaders via our after-school care, school vacation programs, summer day camps, in-school outreach, and academic enrichment programs.
